Faces & Me...

If there's one person in my workplace who knows me very well - it's my sweet friend "Faces."

She's easy and fun to be with...Quick to react (most of the times) but also quick to forgive.

We have each other when we need a shoulder to cry on. We also have each other in our life's giggling moments.

Our life has been so colorful - take a look!!!

Thank you WENG.....

Just want to thank you for more than seven years of great friendship. I do appreciate your thoughfulness as a friend. I won't forget that you're the very first one who trusted me when I was transferred to Telemoney.

Your sharings about faith has given us a lot of inspiration - how you're healed by God and how you've found the man to spend the rest of your life with...You've been through a lot but with strong faith and love in your heart, you've overcome those trials..I'm so happy and proud of you!

I love you, friend....I'll be missing you - stay connected!

My Sunny Room...

That's one corner of my room - very colorful just like my life! Photos of me and my friends are artistically framed to accentuate my sunny room.

So every morning as I open my eyes, I could see the faces of my wonderful friends.

It's true, "Seeds of friendship would bring flowers of joy."

Missing Jolly....

If there's one person I really miss nowadays, it's my cousin and friend "Jolly." How I wish she's here to help us take care of my Nanay and her Tita Charie.

Thank you ONG!!!

Just want to thank my friend "Ong" who's been with me in the hospital for two nights, to look after my mom. I really appreciate his presence and humor in times I need someone to cheer me up. With his large built and jolly nature, he could be a "Caregiver" just like his idol - Sharon Cuneta.

Friendship tested by time....

Of course, nothing compares with the friendship I've shared with the Seekers...Though we're quite misjudged during our high school days as "barriotic," we've proven our worth!

He's not my Boyfriend!!!

When I posted our picture at Friendster, I received a message from my college friend, asking if "he's the lucky one." Single life has lonely moments but with my friend "Beteng" around, you won't entertain such thought. He could get your full attention with his comic way of narrating. He could help you temporarily forget your problems - just laugh and never sweat the small stuff!

Being amused by most of his stories, I would also share the laughter with my other friends. I'm lucky that I have a lot of "clowns" in my life- they know who they are!....If Ate Guy has Kuya Germs....well, I have my gigantic buddy "Beteng."

I'd rather not tell some of our crazy moments together because I have to protect the image of Mr. Baltazar - a full-fledge teacher.

TIME and THINGS don't really last....

"TIME and THINGS don't really last. What matters are the people we care about and values we dare to live and share."

I got this message from my friend who've lost her husband last year. I do admire the persevering spirit and unwavering faith of my friend. Recently, she's been sending me inspiring thoughts about life. Honestly, I was moved by the message; thus I immediately forwarded this to my loved ones. "Life is too short," and I don't want to miss the chance of telling them that "I do care."

Field Trip to Batangas....

Jad, Tita Elaine & Josh

It's been almost five years since our friend "Dhez" left for a work opportunity abroad. This afternoon, I and Weng went to her hometown - to visit her mom, sister Elaine and two sons. It's a 2-hour trip but we're glad to see her family. Staring at her mom and youngest son "Joshua" reminded us of our good friend.

We savored the special pancit and bibingka. We enjoyed the stories of her cool mom and the contagious laughter of her beautiful sister "Elaine." We got a chance to kiss her sons. We talked with Dhez over the phone and felt how touched she was to have us in her home. We also paid a visit to the Parish of Father Pio in Sto. Tomas, Batangas.

It's a wonderful day for me and Weng! We're thankful that we've made our friend happy in our own simple way....and we appreciate the hospitality of her family!

Mommy, Elaine & Abet - THANK YOU!!!

Welcome back Rommel!

"Some friends are separated by time, some by differences, some by distance and some by pride, but whatever situation I can see, you'll always be a real friend to me!"

It's a beautiful text message I received from Beth. It's touching and it's time to share it with our good friend "Rommel," who was separated from us by distance. And now, he's back for a short vacation. We're all excited to see him this evening and for sure, it would fun and reminiscing time!

We missed you!!!

"Friendship"

True frienship is like sound health; the value of it is seldom known until it is lost. A real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out.

My father always used to say that when you die, if you've got five real friends then you've had a great life.

Hold a true friend with both your hands. Friendship is one mind in two bodies. Don't walk in front of me... i may not follow. Don't walk behind me... i may not lead. Walk beside me and be my friend.

A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words.;

We all take different paths in life, but no matter where we go, we take a little of each other everywhere; Friends are God's way of taking care of us.

These are beautiful thoughts about friendship that I received from my good friend Weng. She posted as comments to my blog entitled "All About Me" (June 2, 2008). I was really touched by the message.

"Friends are extension of God's love for us." And I'm thankful that I have you, too!

it's ONG!!!

Me and Ong

He’s not a Chinese tycoon, but a native of Cainta. His real name is DupONG, in short ONG!….This guy has a natural sense of humor. You won’t be bored with ONG around. You’ll be amused by his great story-telling ability...

A die-hard fan of Sharon Cuneta…He has memorized the popular lines and timeless songs of his idol…And we never get tired listening to him because he always makes us happy...

ONG is one of my valuable friends. He may not be financially rich but he’s richer with real treasure of joyful experiences....

Thank you for a bucket of laughter you bring into our life!

Missing Magnolia....

Last night, Beteng, Milet and I went out for a delectable dinner at Don Henrico’s. After eating their special buffalo wings and onion rings, we decided to stay at Figaro for a cup of coffee and chitchat.

I could still recall during our younger years, we loved to drink and party a lot. Now, we're just coffee drinkers - clear sign that we're getting older.
We used to hang out at Soundstage, Sportzone, Tia Maria, Hard Rock Café, etc. Almost every weekend, we had gimmicks, and our regular buddy was – Jing. Among our close friends, Jing had the most number of pet names such as Aiko, Princess Punzalan, Tutti Fruity, Mining, Maya, Sweet Payumo, Carol Banawa, but the most popular was Magnolia dela Cruz – screen name of Ate Guy in one of her movies. Before Jing left for a job in New Jersey, we had a 4-day vacation at the beautiful Island of Pagudpod.

Our bestfriend, “Magnolia” now lives in Portland. We missed her so much! How I wish Jing could visit my website and enjoy looking back at our happy, old days together….

no dull moments....

I was just reminiscing our "2006 Summer Vacation" at Balibago Island - the hometown of my father. I fondly call it, "Island of Desire."

I was with my two funny friends, none other than "Beteng and Dupong." They're both headturners, with their exotic look, large body built, and beautiful smiles.

It was a short escape from our normal life - inexpensive but lots of fun! And we're overwhelmed by the cordial reception of the island folks. For sure, there'll be a Part II....very soon!!!

Samantha "Little Joyce"

I just received an e-mail from my sweet friend "Joyce" - with attached photo of her one and only daughter. I'm glad to see my lovely godchild, "Samantha." I quickly showed the picture to my mom and her remarks was, "she looks like Joyce."

One of my life's blessing is finding a second home in Joyce's family. Her parents, "Tita Precy and Tito Jimmy," are both warm and affectionate. I really appreciate their kindness, most especially, their prayers.

Thank you and I love your beautiful family!!!

Common Denominator

Beth is one of my good friends. Through her sister, Whia, who first became my friend, I got close to her.

A simple lady who’s an avid fan of Sharon Cuneta and now, a supporter of KC Concepcion. She loves to read novel and watch TV. She’s a woman of few words and a reliable friend.

We have a common denominator – we’re both single by fate! We may not be lucky in love but we’re lucky enough to have each other! I love you, Bethsheeba!

Real Friends...

I believe that true friends are being used by God to enrich our life. Fortunately, I found two of them in my workplace, they are:

Wilfred – fondly called as “Will,” a pet name suited to his personality. When he wants something, he has the will power to get it. Our friendship has grown deeper in a short period of time. This person is genuine - what you see is what you get from him! He’s vain but thoughtful. He’s an outstanding son, an affectionate brother, and a dependable friend.

Angela – her nickname should be “Angel” because she really knows how to care. She’s been through a lot in life but she maintained her poise and forgiving nature. I witnessed how she had easily recovered from the tragic loss of her home. I really admire her resilience. She is beautiful – in and out!

Thank God for the gift of friendship!

My Bestfriend

My Bestfriend with her Family

“Good Friends make us see what it means to be blessed by God.”

I’m always grateful for the gift of friendship. Single life is not easy but with support and prayers of my lifelong friends, it’s acceptable and worth living.

One of my best friends is Ailene, who now lives with her family in Arizona. Being thoughtful is one of her virtues. She never fails to send me birthday and Christmas cards every year. It’s touching how she always finds time to reach out in spite of her hectic life in a foreign land. She has mastered the way of living a simple and balanced life.

I do love my bestfriend and her wonderful family!!!

Careless or Careful?

On my way to work this morning, I was riding a TamarawFX (PUV) being ran by a reckless driver. A vehicular accident I heard from the news which happened two days ago is still fresh in my mind. Now, I'm apprehensive if I'll be reaching my destination safely. I was upset about the lack of discipline I witnessed almost daily on the road. Suddenly, I thought of a friend who's celebrating her birthday. Her name is Annazel and is one of the "Seekers". She works as an Occupational Therapist in New Jersey. She realized her vocation of caring for older people and special children.

Life is really a choice. Finding your purpose will determine your success. Would you choose to be careless like the driver or careful like the therapist?

We're all "Seekers"

"Seekers" is how we call the group of my grade school buddies who've remained the best of friends for more than three decades now. We're so young then and curious about so many things in life. Life may look simple for all of us but it's somewhat complicated due to external pressures in the small world we live in. With our need to be accepted, we always wanted to shine and prove our worth. We tried to seek pleasure in almost everything we do. We're inseparable and we're always on the go.

We're different people with different personalities but pursuing one goal - to be happy. We're all "Seekers" in this world. It's indeed a continuous search of happiness. We're thankful that we've already found one of those things that matters most in life, that is, true friendship. We've been blessed by the love and joy we tremendously bring into each other's lives.
